I discovered sound principles to be used as inner guidance throughout life and rediscovered importance of trusting that voice inside. The workshop gave me a framework for previously scattered projects in my head.

I wish to have many more opportunities to attend and participate in this kind of process, but also to be able to share it widely.

My greatest learning did NOT come from where I expected it to. If you come to this workshop, be prepared to be surprised. Be prepared for a workshop that gives you MORE than what is advertised. Be prepared to learn as much from the students as you do from the teacher (which is perhaps the highest compliment that I could pay to the skill, wisdom, and vision of Christine Whitney Sanchez). Be prepared to stretch in ways that you did not even anticipate. Be prepared to see the world in whole new ways.

This workshop has built my confidence as a facilitator and enabled me to incorporate particularly Appreciative Inquiry and Open Space Technology into a pilot test of an activity to mobilize sector wide collaboration in order to improve the national response to orphans and vulnerable children throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

I want to convey my sincerest thanks for what you have taught me...and for how you helped me to learn. Since the workshop I've had three "professional" opportunities to facilitate. I kept my focus on being in service of the group by remembering that "it's" not about me, and that my job was to appreciate everyone and everything, and to maintain my curiosity about what was happening...even when my knees were shaking and my stomach was fluttery. When I noticed the physiology of anxiety I would try to remember the importance of modeling the behavior I wanted teach...to try to be the change I want to see in the world. Out of those three events have come three inquiries about me facilitating other "conversations".

I really appreciated your guidance and generosity throughout the workshop and look forward to developing and using my skills.

It gave me the opportunity to heal and to renew and restore my faith in the good of humanity. Don't get me wrong- learning about and experiencing all of the hosting techniques was very helpful, and will continue to benefit my work. . .but it came at a time in my life where I needed more than just new 'tools'. I needed a new perspective. It was refreshing to be around people who really want the world to be a good place for all and who direct their energies toward making this so. Since then, I have started a new job, taken control of my life, and gotten out of an environment that was no longer contributing to my growth or my ability to put positivity into this world.

• I have a deepened belief that profound change is possible from getting to meet others engaged in this work.
• I am on the other side of the world using many of the tools that I learned and loving it.
• I am in a deep, engaging conversation with two of the participants about the role of metaphor in enabling shift to happen.
• I am beginning to dialogue with others about creating networks of change agents across communities.

I am more aware of organizing patterns, useful questions, empowering beliefs, productive choices and behaviors.
