This workshop provides you with an opportunity to learn the intricacies of this method and also have to opportunity to actively participate in a future OST meeting event, Open Space 100 II, including planning for a much larger one, the Youth Vision 5000. Thus you have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and thereby have a chance to become familiar with conducting Open Space Technology meetings for your organization.

Workshop Objectives

Through experiential learning, gain a working knowledge of the principles, steps and practices of Open Space Technology. Participate in an Open Space Technology meeting as part of Design Phase for a larger Open Space Technology meeting.

Outcomes

Explore the principles and practicalities of Open Space Technology in order to:

  • Deal more effectively with complex organizational and/or community issues
  • Provide insights into facilitating organizational and/or community-wide change
    Grow the capacity for the emergence of new ideas and relationships in organizations and/or communities
  • Equip you to open space for groups of all sizes
